Entry categories

The enlisted categories are primarily intended as indicative guidelines. Submitted works that are slightly related  to the enlisted categories, or which are more difficult to classify, are also prone for nomination.

experimental - biological, ecological and chemical processing based experimental cinema
the controlled or uncontrolled manipulation of the filmstrip with natural materials and elements (rotting, burning, soaking, burying underground, etc.) and manipulation of the filmstrip by chemical processes (acid corrosion, staining with household chemicals, etc.)

Entry terms

1. Celluloidra Revolverrel accepts all kinds of cinematographic works that have not yet been presented. We are able to accept works that have been previously presented, provided that the time interval between the final completion of the work and the date of the event does not exceed 12 years. For films with narration, all national and international works must have english subtitles. Films that have already participated in previous official selections of the Celluloidra Revolverrel are not eligible for entry.

2. Celluloidra Revolverrel accepts films uploaded digitally in any resolution. In the case of expanded cinema or filmobject entries, you can send a short performance draft to info@celluloidrarevolverrel.hu.

3. The maximum length permitted for submitted films is 30 minutes.

4. Multiple projects may be entered, but each production must be accompanied by a separate entry and entry fee.

5. The entry fee is non-refundable.

6. The filmmaker’s are responsible for acquiring copyrights, licenses and releases for material used in their films.

7. The filmmaker indemnifies the organizers of Celluloidra Revolverrel against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the screening of the film at the event or from claims by any third parties.

8. By submitting the film, the filmmaker grants Celluloidra Revolverrel the right to publish its posters, trailers, and social media links on its websites. If filmmakers do not consent to these being made available on the official sites of Celluloidra Revolverrel, they may request them to be removed, even retroactively.

9. Celluloidra Revolverrel is a horizontally organised event, therefore we do not "rank" our nominated films. In this respect, the festival functions mainly as a showcase event and its primary aim is to represent the best of international experimental cinema in the region.

10. Celluloidra Revolverrel treats all submissions with utmost care and confidentiality. The filmmaker agrees that, if his/her work is nominated, Celluloidra Revolverrel will download it for screenings at the official event. The filmmaker will not receive any financial compensation for the screening.

11. The films of the official selection will be screened at the Celluloidra Revolverrel experimental cinema expo, and at designated events organised by partner associations (cinemas, cultural centres, university departments, etc.).

12. The selected films may be screened by Celluloidra Revolverrel and its partner associations up to a maximum of 3 times.

13. The decision of the jury is final.

14. Celluloidra Revolverrel reserves the right to make any necessary changes in terms or scheduling.

15. By submitting your film, you accept the Entry terms of Celluloidra Revolverrel.
